Education (K-12 & Higher Ed)

Learning shouldn't wait for the systems behind it.

Charter helps K–12 and postsecondary institutions modernize the networks, infrastructure, security, applications and data environments that learning depends on without disrupting teaching, administration or day-to-day operations.

The Reality

Expectations are rising faster than the budgets and teams behind them.

Students, educators and staff expect secure, reliable access to digital tools wherever learning happens. At the same time, IT teams are managing aging systems, expanding cybersecurity risk, privacy obligations, fixed academic calendars and budgets that cannot address every priority at once.

Charter helps institutions determine what matters most, sequence the work and move modernization into operation in achievable stages.

WHERE CHARTER HELPS

Our capabilities, applied to your district.

Charter helps education IT teams move from assessment and planning through architecture, implementation and ongoing operation while accounting for privacy, academic schedules, funding constraints and limited internal capacity.

Strategy, assessments and modernization roadmaps

Build a clear view of the current environment, risk, dependencies and investment priorities, then translate it into a practical and fundable modernization roadmap.

OPERATING REALITY

Shaped by how Canadian institutions actually operate.

Education modernization has to work within the institution's governance, funding, privacy and academic environment. Charter plans for the conditions that determine whether a program can advance, be implemented successfully and remain supportable after launch.

Fixed windows in the academic calendar

A technically sound solution can still fail if it ignores clinical workflow, continuity requirements, privacy obligations or the capacity of the team that must support it. Charter builds these realities into the roadmap, architecture and delivery plan from the beginning.

Privacy and access demands

A technically sound solution can still fail if it ignores clinical workflow, continuity requirements, privacy obligations or the capacity of the team that must support it. Charter builds these realities into the roadmap, architecture and delivery plan from the beginning.

Distributed stakeholders

A technically sound solution can still fail if it ignores clinical workflow, continuity requirements, privacy obligations or the capacity of the team that must support it. Charter builds these realities into the roadmap, architecture and delivery plan from the beginning.

Internal capacity already fully committed

A technically sound solution can still fail if it ignores clinical workflow, continuity requirements, privacy obligations or the capacity of the team that must support it. Charter builds these realities into the roadmap, architecture and delivery plan from the beginning.

OUR APPROACH

A clear path from assessment to the classroom.

ASSESS

Nobody has the full picture. We put one together

We review the security posture and vendor agreements, and document the Microsoft 365 tenant, licensing position and identity configuration as they stand today. Two to four weeks, with visits across campuses or schools. You get written findings and a costed shortlist.

DESIGN

Designed with learning at the centre.

We design the network, identity and data architecture, then sequence it into stages that fit your funding cycle, procurement path and academic calendar. Four to six weeks, built with IT and academic leadership in the room, with a business case that survives a board or executive review.

DELIVER

Built and connected, in the windows you have

Network and wireless refresh, endpoint rollout, Microsoft 365 Education deployment, and workflow digitization for the administrative processes still running on paper. Identity comes into one place with Entra ID, devices are managed through Intune, and SIS and LMS integrations connect to a common source rather than to each other. Delivered in increments, scheduled into the windows the calendar allows.

OPERATE

Still there after the project closes

Monitoring, patching, service desk and lifecycle planning on a defined model, with the same team. As Microsoft 365 Education adds managed Copilot and classroom AI controls, we help set the guardrails, licensing position and acceptable use policy before the tools reach students.

The Team

A strategic partner for uninterrupted learning.

Twenty-five years supporting Canadian education institutions, across networks, cloud, security, and the administrative workflows that keep a district or campus running. The people who scope the engagement deliver it and stay with it.
