Calgary, AB – January 24, 2011
Two of Canada’s top communications companies have joined forces to provide better service to customers.
The two companies are Newmarket, Ontario-based Unity Telecom, a full-service communications company providing consulting, design, implementation and support for best-of breed IP-based business communications solutions, and Victoria, BC-based Charter, one of Canada’s fastest growing networking and security integrators. Drawing upon each other’s’ specialized expertise and resources, the two companies will jointly market voice and data solutions to new and existing clients: Unity Telecom specializing in business IP communications solutions, and Charter delivering commercial grade high performance networking.
Under this partnership agreement, Unity will assume responsibility for Charter’s clients with voice solutions currently in place. Charter, in turn, will provide data networking expertise to Unity’s expanding customer base across Canada. As part of this agreement, Charter and Unity will share offices in Edmonton, and Charter’s voice technicians in Edmonton and Calgary will transfer to Unity to better serve customers.
“Unity’s reputation in the market for extraordinary customer service makes this partnership a perfect fit for Charter,” said Paul Chandler, President of Charter. “Unity will bring the depth of knowledge and experience to our customers making this a winning proposition for all parties. Charter will continue to focus on our core capabilities – delivering best in class networking and security solutions to the market.”
“Sharing office space with Charter will enable us to work more effectively together and seamlessly serve our client base,” noted David Sherry, President of Unity Telecom. “Together, Unity Telecom and Charter will provide a much broader, more comprehensive range of high-quality services to customers across Canada, significantly increasing the value we offer as solution providers.”
The agreement increases the depth of knowledge of both organizations and expands the breadth of services and resources available to clients. Also, Unity’s presence across Canada will extend Charter’s geographical reach in the market. The management teams at both Charter and Unity are very excited about the new partnership. Everyone, most importantly customers and prospects, will benefit from this alliance by working collaboratively with these two leading companies to manage their critical communication infrastructure.
